On to the B's!

Despite working on this project for several hours over the last couple of days, I've not posted anything.  However, the map on the sidebar should now be functional. I can't wait to start to get this thing filled up and make it more user-friendly.

As far as the music goes, I think it's important to note that there are huge variations depending upon genre and period the music's coming from (a perfect example is Australian music, which ranges from the Aboriginal didgeridoo to international rock bands like AC/DC).

As time goes on, I'll refine the process of what's worth sharing and what's not. For the time being I'm just looking to get this project rolling. While I'm not sure if there will be much of an audience for it, I'd hope that people who are curious about this kind of thing (like myself) may find the collection useful... or maybe even music educators in elementary schools or the like.

Anyway, there are significantly more countries starting with the letter B than A. Though in the next several days I hope to have discovered music from the Bahamas, Burundi, and everywhere in between.

Cheers!
